Registrace probíhá přes univerzitní systém WebOodi (v květnu 2021 nahrazen systémem SISU). S omezeními jsem se nesetkala. Zrušit předměty nebo provádět změny se může po celý semestr.

Describe the teaching methods (theory, practical and projects) and assessment of students:
Výuka je víc zaměřená na praxi. Po celou dobu výuky se dbá na týdenní úkoly (praktické např. u programování, teoretické např. čtení knih/odborných článků a psaní esejí). Závěrečné hodnocení je založeno buď na hodnocení ze všech průběžných úkolů nebo na hodnocení z průběžných úkolů a závěrečném projektu/zkoušce.

Quality of teaching in comparison with home school:
Několikanásobně kvalitnější než na MUNI.

How did you receive study materials?:
Přes systém MOODLE, pouze u jednoho kurzu e-mailem.

Can you recommend an interesting course/subject/teacher?:
Jakýkoliv kurz s Mathiasem Creutzem.

How well is the school library equipped?:
Helsinská univerzita má několik knihoven, ve všech jsou tiché studovny, místa s počítači (Windows, Linux), tiskárny a kopírky, apod.

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
V knihovnách jsou přístupné počítače (Windows, Linux) přes univerzitní login. Na internet se ve všech budovách dá připojit přes eduroam. Během největšího lockdownu byly knihovny zavřené, takže bylo potřeba mít vlastní zařízení.

Ve všech knihovnách za zlevněnou cenu.

Does the foreign school/student organisation arrange special events for exchange students?:

If yes then what?:
Orientační týden, schůzky s tutory, pikniky, přednášky, apod. Většina z toho online nebo zrušená kvůli koronaviru.

How would you assess your integration with the local students (evaluation like in school from 1 to 5 with 1 as highest):

Kvůli koronaviru nebylo moc možné poznat spolužáky, trochu se dalo na seminářích, kde se hodně diskutuje a pracuje ve skupinkách.

Ubytování, úklid pokoje jednou za dva týdny, prádelna a sušárna, sauna jednou za týden, posilovna, gril.

Pokoje jsou vybavené nábytkem a základním nádobím (talíře, misky, příbory, skleničky, pánev, hrnec).

How and how far ahead should accommodation be organised?:
Co nejdříve po obdržení acceptance letter.

What are the catering options?:
Vzhledem k cenám v obchodech a restauracích je nejlepší si vařit nebo chodit do UniCafe.

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
2x - 3x dražší

Transport to location of placement:
Letadlem.

Rough prices for transportation:
Zpáteční letenka s ČSA kolem 5000 korun.

Tips for purchasing cheap tickets and other recommendations:

What are the local transport options (public transport, cycling, on foot, rough prices):
MHD (autobusy, metro, tramvaje, vlak), rozdělené podle zón. Single ticket pro AB zóny 2,80 EUR, z letiště do centra je potřeba ABC ticket za cca 5 EUR. Nejvíc se vyplatí koupit HSL card buď na měsíc za cca 35 EUR nebo přímo na počet dní pobytu (pak to vychází cca 1 EUR denně). V Helsinkách se dá i všude po cyklostezce, dají se půjčit kola za 5 EUR/den. V centru se dá všude chodit pěšky, nejdůležitější body jsou blízko.

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
Pokud doba pobytu přesáhne 90 dní, musí se zaplatit za povolení k pobytu. Doporučuji si někdy v průběhu této lhůty udělat výlet do okolních zemí, 90denní lhůta se pak počítá odznovu. Je také potřeba se zaregistrovat do Finnish population information sysem a zřídit si Personal identity code (minimálně vyžaduje univerzita + je pak jednodušší komunikovat s úřady, pokud se něco stane (já využila při tetsování na koronavirus)).

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
Cestovní pojištění pro studenty vyjíždějící na studijní pobyt od ZP MV ČR.

Did you have any experience with medical treatment abroad?:
Ne

Did you work during your studies?:
Ano. Hlídání dětí a úklid v česko-finských rodinách.

What are the conditions for working for MU students?:

Tips for free-time activities:
Výlety do národních parků, Porvoo, Tampere, Turku, Laponska. Návštěvu okolních zemí (Tallinn, Stockholm). Festivaly a kulturní akce v Helsinkách. Je fajn předplatit si UniSport.
