Activities before my departure abroad
What was your approach in organising the placement?:
Hledání lidí a ústavů podle zaměření mého studia. Oslovení potenciálních hostitelů stručným dopisem s představením se a uvedením specifikace studia. Posléze jsme se domluvili na termínu a programu stáže. Následovalo podávání žádostí v rámci MU a jejich oboustranné schvalování, hledání ubytování a další organizační záležitosti.

What documents are required for acceptance on a placement at this organisation?:
Liší se dle typu pobytu. Pro měsíční praktickou stáž stačí Training agreement a pojištění odpovědnosti za škodu a úrazové pojištění. Vhodné je koordinovat pobyt s místním oddělením pro zahraniční spolupráci.

How far ahead did acceptance have to be organised? (in weeks):
Záleží na rychlosti odezvy hostující organizace. Ze strany MU je schvalování dokumentů otázka dnů, schvalování žádostí programu Freemover dvakrát do měsíce. 8 týdnů před plánovanou stáží je pro prvožadatele, včetně koordinace s hostitelskou institucí asi minimum.

Ne, ale záleží na formulaci pracovní náplně a nenadálých situacích.

What is necessary to arrange immediately on arrival? What requirements and at which offices?:
Potvrzení dokumentů, které souvisejí se všemi typy mobilit. Po příjezdu probíhá proškolení o bezpečnosti a pohybu na pracovišti. Z dalších dokumentů stačilo slovní hodnocení, že pojištění mám. Může se to ale lišit podle pracoviště.

Describe your work/activity in the foreign organisation. Describe what specifically you did, whether the work corresponded to the agreed conditions and your field of study, and whether your work was independent and responsible, approximate working hours.:
Pracoval jsem v laboratoři, kde se prováděly přípravy kultivačních experimentů, in vitro experimenty, připravovaly se vzorky pro molekulární analýzy. Prováděly se zde techniky práce s rostlinnou, houbovou a bakteriální DNA. Měřily se exprese genů (práce s RNA). Práce s GMO a GMM. Práce na plynovém chromatografu. Práce v laboratoři byla rozšířením vlastních používaných metod. Většina domluvených činností byla provedena, některé kroky byly optimalizovány vzhledem k aktuální situaci. Práce probíhala pod dohledem a s pravidelnou konzultací. Pracovní doba byla dle domluvy a rozsahu práce, standardně však od 9 do 17

Where did you live?:
Na bytě přes Airbnb, dvacet minut od nádraží, deset minut na pracoviště (kampus UJ)

770 EUR

Plně vybavený byt. Vhodnější je objednávat dřív, je větší nabídka za lepší ceny.

Who arranged your accommodation and how far ahead:
Já sám. Asi měsíc dopředu.

Sledujte vybavení bytu, které je uvedeno v popise bytu.

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
Srovnatelné, spíše levnější.

Transport to location of placement:
Z hranic (Bohumín) asi dvě hodiny vlakem. Po městě autobusy a šaliny.

Approximate price:
300 - 600 Kč (z Brna) Záleží na době objednání. Ceny MHD 25 Kč/20 minut nebo 35/ hodinu.

Klimatizované vozy

What are the local transport options (public transport, cycling, on foot, rough prices):
Velká síť cyklostezek - spousta kol. Dobrá dostupnost dopravy. Pěšky je Krakov zdlouhavá rovina.

Zahrnuté v cestovním pojištění.

Did you have other insurance? Which?:
Pojištění odpovědnosti za škody - zahrnuté v cestovním pojištění.

Ne

Tips for recreation:
Historické centrum, solný důl, přírodní koupaliště/lom, dominanty v okolí - kláštery, turistické atrakce - let balonem, plavba po Visle, poušť s dunami, Osvětim - hodina vlakem.

19 000 Kč ze stipendia na podporu mobilit doktorských studentů (A.6).

Ceny jsou orientační. Kdo bude chodit na jídlo do restaurace, tak projí víc. Rovněž tak míra nutnosti navštěvování turistických míst je individuální.

Nejlepší, co se kurzu týče, je asi platit platebními kartami.

Osobní vztahy.

Asi jen pro dovybavení bytu, ale nejedná se o velkou částku.

"Pobyt v zahraničí je povinný pro všechny studenty doktorského studia, bez ohledu na to, kdy zahájili studium.
